Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT team as an:
SCHEDULER
As a strategic member of the logistics team, you will work closely with all departments when planning workflow, to ensure customer requirements are met on time, everytime.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet company and client deadlines efficiently.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions.
- Work closely with the production, supply chain, and logistics teams to optimize schedules based on material availability and production capacity.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and resolve any discrepancies that may arise during the planning process.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend scheduling improvements to enhance productivity.
- Support operational teams in maintaining adherence to scheduled timelines, providing real-time interventions when necessary.
- Assist in developing contingency plans to address unforeseen scheduling challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling processes and tools.
- Ensure personal and associate awareness of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Logistics Managment, or a related field preferred; a combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Proficient in scheduling software and tools; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and implement effective scheduling solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey scheduling updates clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to anticipating scheduling needs and challenges.
