Plasman, known for its commitment to innovation and teamwork, is excited to announce an opening for the position of Automotive Assembly Manager at our Fort Payne Plant. This role is pivotal in leading our production operations, ensuring that our commitment to quality and efficiency remains unwavering.

Job Summary

The Automotive Assembly Manager will oversee our production activities, ensure operational efficiency and maintain the highest quality standards. This position requires a collaborative leader who fosters a safe and positive work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of quality and business operating systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate daily production activities in collaboration with the Materials/Scheduling Manager.
• Work closely with Human Resources to establish robust policies that support our organizational goals.
• Engage with customers to assess and enhance service and delivery.
• Develop strategic plans for the effective use of materials, equipment, and workforce.
• Promote a positive team culture through cross-functional collaboration.
• Actively participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to ensure workplace safety.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism and timely decision-making.
• Support Production Supervisors during their absences.
• Monitor production goals through the Performance Management Program (PMP).
• Ensure compliance with performance evaluations and employee development standards.
• Guide supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and a safe working environment.
• Allocate resources for training, safety, and operational needs.
• Assist in launching new products to meet company objectives.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience We’re Looking For

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent; preference for candidates with a college-level business education.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Automotive Management with proven leadership capabilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Plastics Paint Industry or a related field.
