Plasman - Windsor Tooling is currently seeking a new member to join our team as a CNC Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• The CNC Technician is responsible for creating programs and for the machining of steel.

• Completing daily machining requirements for all new tooling, repairs, and engineering changes as per line ups.

• Programming of tool paths and CAD procedures and applying these to steel.

• Job set up, tool changes, and manual operation as required.

• Setting up and machining surfaces on plastic injection molds.

• Using precision measuring equipment for quality and accuracy.

• Blueprint and CAD wireframe.

• Programming for drilling of precision holes.

• Assisting in designated cutter paths as necessary.

• Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement Activities.

• Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.

• Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

• General machinist certificate or equivalent work experience.

• Five (5) years’ work experience as a machinist.

• Ability to program tool paths and working CAD knowledge.

• Strong understanding of the machining process.

• Sound knowledge of plastic part manufacturing and tooling.

• Must have the ability to be trained for the above-mentioned responsibilities and authorities.

• Acceptable performance record and attendance record required.
